1. Our Privacy Commitment
At PhotoSplit Studio, we believe your family memories should remain private. Unlike many online tools, we do not upload your photos to any server. All image processing โ including detection, cropping, and color enhancement โ is performed entirely on your local device using your browser's processing power.
2. Data Collection & Usage
We do not collect personal information from the images you process. However, to maintain and improve our service, we collect certain non-personally identifiable information:
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymous usage statistics, such as page views, button clicks (e.g., "Save All"), and browser types. This helps us understand which features are most useful and identify technical issues.
- Server Logs: Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic information such as your IP address and user-agent for security and traffic monitoring purposes.
3. Cookies and Advertising
We use cookies to improve your experience and support the site through advertising.
- Google AdSense: We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Google use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
- Personalized Advertising: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Opting Out: Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
4. 100% Client-Side Processing
Your photos never leave your device. The tool utilizes OpenCV.js and the HTML5 Canvas API to process images locally. Once you close the tab, no trace of your photos remains on our systems.
5. GDPR and CCPA Compliance
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have certain data protection rights. While we do not store "personal data" in the traditional sense (as photos are never uploaded), you have the right to:
- Request information about how we process data.
- Object to our use of Google Analytics (by declining the cookie consent banner).
- Request the deletion of any communication data (e.g., if you contact us via email).
