Passport Photo Requirements by Country
Every country has specific requirements for the size, background colour, and face position in passport photos. This free tool handles all the sizing automatically — just select your country and it sets the correct dimensions.

How to Take a Good Passport Photo at Home
- Background: Stand in front of a plain white wall in a well-lit room. Natural daylight from a window works best — avoid harsh shadows on the background or your face.
- Expression: Look directly at the camera with a neutral expression and mouth closed. Eyes must be fully open.
- Framing: Your face should fill the centre of the frame. Avoid hats, sunglasses, or anything that obscures your face (medical exceptions apply).
- Camera: Any modern smartphone camera set to portrait mode works well. Ask someone else to take the photo — avoid selfies, as the angle is usually wrong.

How to Print Your Passport Photo
Click Create Print Sheet to generate a 4×6 inch sheet with multiple copies tiled. Print on 4×6 photo paper at home, or upload the sheet file to a pharmacy kiosk (Walgreens, CVS, Boots, etc.) and select 4×6 print size. Cut out the individual photos with scissors after printing.
